Ingredients
For the Burger Patties
1 lb (450 g) ground beef (80/20 recommended)
1 tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp onion powder
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce (optional)
For the Lettuce Wrap
8 large lettuce leaves (Iceberg or Romaine work best)
4 slices cheddar cheese (or your favorite cheese)
1 medium tomato, sliced
½ red onion, thinly sliced
4 pickle slices (optional)

Burger Sauce (Optional but Recommended)
¼ cup mayonnaise
1 tbsp ketchup
1 tsp mustard
1 tsp pickle relish
½ tsp garlic powder
Instructions
- Prepare the Patties
In a bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix gently until just combined.
Divide into 4 equal portions and shape into burger patties. - Cook the Burgers
Heat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat.
Cook the patties for 3–4 minutes per side, depending on desired doneness.
During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheese on each patty and allow it to melt. - Prepare the Lettuce Wrap
Wash and dry the lettuce leaves well.
Layer 2 lettuce leaves per burger to create a sturdy wrap. - Make the Burger Sauce
In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, relish, and garlic powder until smooth. - Assemble the Lettuce Wrap Burgers
Place the burger patty on the lettuce leaves.
Add tomato slices, onion, pickles, and any optional toppings.
Drizzle with burger sauce. - Serve
Wrap the lettuce around the burger like a bun and secure with a toothpick if needed.
