Natural Insect Repellent (for Flies, Mosquitoes, and Cockroaches)

Recipe: Natural Insect Repellent (for Flies, Mosquitoes, and Cockroaches)

INTRODUCTION:

If you’re tired of battling flies, mosquitoes, and cockroaches at home, here’s a natural solution you can easily prepare and apply. This homemade insect repellent uses simple ingredients to create a bait that attracts and kills common pests. The best part is, it’s safe to use around the house and can keep your living space free of unwanted insects.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 tablespoon of Borax powder (a natural cleaning agent and insecticide)
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of milk (whole milk or powdered milk works)
  • A small spoon or dish for applying
  • Optional: A few drops of peppermint oil (optional, as an additional deterrent)

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Prepare the Mixture: In a small spoon or dish, combine 1 tablespoon of Borax, 1 tablespoon of sugar, and 1 tablespoon of milk. Stir well to create a paste-like consistency.
  2. Apply the Paste: Place small amounts of the mixture in areas where pests tend to gather. Common spots include along baseboards, corners, under sinks, or near trash cans. The sugar attracts the insects, and the Borax works to kill them once ingested.
  3. Wait for Results: You’ll notice that flies, mosquitoes, and cockroaches are attracted to the paste. Once they consume it, the Borax will effectively eliminate them. Leave it undisturbed for a few hours to give pests enough time to find and ingest the bait.
  4. Clean Up: Once you notice that the pests have disappeared or been killed, carefully clean up the area and reapply as needed. Refresh the paste every couple of days if you’re dealing with a heavy infestation.

This simple, effective, and natural insect repellent will help reduce the presence of common household pests without relying on harsh chemicals.
